Coldstone Creamery

A new ice cream concept was introduced in 1988 by Don and Susan Sutherland in Tempe, Arizona. Cold Stone Creamery uses a super premium ice cream that is made fresh daily in the stores. Customers can make their own Creations by deciding what mix-ins they would like. There are many mix-ins to chose from: nuts, fruits, cookies, brownies and candy. The Creations are prepared on a frozen granite stone right before their eyes. Cold Stone Creamery also offers sundaes, ice cream cakes, smoothies, shakes, cupcakes and ice cream cookie sandwiches.

Cold Stone Creamery has been featured on the following programs: The Early Show, Fox & Friends, Good Morning America, The Today Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

In 2007, Cold Stone Creamery was acquired by Kahala, one of the fastest growing franchise companies in North America. Cold Stone expanded into Canada through a exclusive partnership with Tim Hortons in 2009.

There are more than 1,400 stores across the world; with over 60 co-branded stores in the US.
